Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst .The ideal candidate will assist with requirements gathering, documentation, testing, data analysis, and coordination between business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

\n
• Gather and document business and system requirements from business stakeholders.
\n
• Support analysis of processes, applications, and workflows .
\n
• Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional documentation .
\n
• Assist with UAT, test case preparation, defect tracking, and validation .
\n
• Analyze data and assist with identifying data quality and process issues.
\n
• Work closely with developers, QA teams, project managers, and business users.
\n
• Participate in requirements meetings, walkthroughs, and status discussions.
\n
• Support production issues, change requests, and enhancement initiatives.
\n
• Maintain clear documentation and track requirements through implementation.
\n

Required Skills

\n
• 1–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
\n
• Experience working with NYC government programs preferred.
\n
• Understanding of requirements gathering, functional analysis, and SDLC .
\n
• Experience with UAT, test cases, defect management, and documentation .
\n
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
\n
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio .
\n
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
\n

Preferred

\n
• Knowledge of public assistance, benefits, eligibility, case management, or social services processes.
\n
• Experience working in a government or public-sector environment.
\n
• Familiarity with SQL or data analysis is a plus.
\n
